A 47 year-old-man has died on spot after a tree he was cutting with others fell on him in Kabale District.

The deceased has been identified as Kabahwezi John, a casual laborer and a resident of Kyamugasha village, Kyanamira Sub County Kabale district.

According to police , the incident occurred on the morning at 7:30am in Kyamugasha cell, Kyanamira Sub County. Kabahezi, along with his colleagues, including Basigira Godfrey, was engaged in cutting down a tree, the tree unexpectedly fell on John, resulting in instantaneous death.

The Kigezi police spokesperson Elly Maate, the Police spokesperson says scene was thoroughly examined by a Homicide team, to establish the exact cause of death.
