Police in Rukiga district are investigating circumstances under which a 40 year old man was knocked dead by unidentified vehicle.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 4:00pm in Rubogo village, Kibanda parish Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district.

The deceased has been identified as Amos Muhirwe a resident of Rubogo village Kibanda parish Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district.

It’s alleged that while the deceased was driving his animals back home, an unknown speeding vehicle driven by un known driver knocked him from behind there by leaving him dead.

The Kigezi Region police spokesperson Elly Maate, has attributed the cause of accident to reckless driving, adding that efforts to arrest the driver are underway.
