The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has expressed readiness to conduct the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations which kick off today across the country.
This marks the start of the 2023 final examinations nationwide, with the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) set for November.
Daniel Odongo, the board’s Executive Director indicated earlier that over 364,000 candidates registered for this year’s UCE exams.
According to Odongo, One million, two hundred twenty-four thousand, three hundred seventy-one (1,224,371) have been registered to sit for this year’s exams.
Odong once re-echoed UNEB’s long-term plea to teachers, school heads, and parents to prepare their learners to avoid cheating which might result in the cancellation of their examination results.
