Chahafi HC1V operate with no Ambulance

Chahafi health center IV in Kisoro district is struggling to transport patients to referral hospitals due to lack of an Ambulance.

The Murora sub county district councilor Innocent Irankunda Kagyenza says that ever since the health center was elevated from a health center III to a health center IV government has not provided any ambulance services despite  the area being in a hard to reach area.

Irankunda says that the people with patients provide the means of transport and mainly use Boda-Bodas and taxis to transport their patients to referral hospitals. 

The Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Health Dr. Diana Atwiine says Chahafi health center IV will soon receive a new ambulance to support in referral services of the health center.
